Project Intent
When working on any sort of project, tools and supplies get scattered. My goal is to create an interactive tool tray that organizes essential tools and components while also notifying the user when a tool is missing, so that it is returned.
Sketch Ideation
I brainstormed forms and functions for a small, portable tool tray.
Coding
Using an Arduino, I coded a pressure sensor to change the color light of an LED bulb.
Prototyping
I found my form through a paper model, which I made large enough to fit the Arduino components inside.
CAD Modeling
I modeled my next prototype in Fusion 360. I designed multiple pieces that were able to interlock once they were 3D printed.
Final Prototype
I 3D printed the components, painted them matte black, and fitted the Arduino inside.
This is a demonstration the final prototype's functionality.
Final Animation
I animated and rendered a demonstration of the tool tray in Blender.
